Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 August 2026. This policy explains what information Valomic collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
Information you give us
Account information. When you create an account we store your email address and authentication details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile information from Google.
Profile and setup information. During onboarding you may provide gender, height, current weight, goal weight, activity level, goal date, and free-text notes about your challenges and motivations. This is used to calculate your personal targets.
Food and meal information. Meals you log, food items, portions, quantities and any edits or notes you add.
Food images. Photos you upload or capture for meal analysis are stored in a private storage bucket that only your account can read.
Weight entries. Weigh-ins and any notes attached to them.
Information collected automatically
Usage information. We record product analytics events — such as page views, sign-ups, meal logs and feature usage — to understand how Valomic is used and where it can be improved.
Error information. When something fails (for example an AI analysis or a save), we record the type of failure so we can fix it.
Cookies and local storage. Your browser stores your login session locally so you stay signed in. Analytics tools may also set cookies or local storage entries.
How we use your information
- To provide the core product: logging meals, analysing food, and generating guidance.
- To calculate your personal calorie, protein and macro targets.
- To show your progress, trends and insights.
- To manage your trial, subscription and billing status.
- To secure accounts and prevent abuse.
- To measure and improve the product.
We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
Valomic relies on third-party providers to operate. These include a cloud database, authentication and file storage provider; an AI provider that processes meal descriptions and food images to generate analysis and suggestions; a payment provider (Razorpay) that handles subscription payments; hosting infrastructure; and analytics tools. These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.
Payment card and UPI details are entered directly with our payment provider. Valomic does not receive or store your full payment credentials.
Subscription and billing information
We store your subscription status, plan, billing period dates and the payment provider's subscription identifier so we can give you the right level of access. We also record billing events received from the payment provider.
Data security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Your records are protected by row-level security rules so that your account can only read and write its own data, and uploaded food images are stored in a private bucket restricted to your account. No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account exists, so that your history and trends remain available to you. We do not automatically delete logged meals, images or weight entries over time. If you delete your account, the associated data is removed, subject to records we are required to keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
Your rights and choices
You can view and edit your profile, meals and weight entries from within the app at any time. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law.
Account deletion
To delete your account and its associated data, contact us through the contact page. If you have an active subscription, cancel it from your Billing section first.
Children
Valomic is not intended for use by children under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
